Writing Your Family History

Charley Kempthorne, author of “For All Time: A Complete Guide to Writing Your Family History” and editor of “LifeStory” a monthly magazine/newsletter about writing personal and family history, will offer a workshop on writing your own family story. This three hour workshop will be divided into three parts: how to remember your past; how to write the narratives of your life; and how to publish them for your family and friends.
Instructor: Charley Kempthorne is a native Kansan and lives with his wife on a farm near Manhattan. He started the first reminiscence writing workshop in the nation in Manhattan (KS) in 1976. He has an MFA from the Iowa Writers Workshop and has conducted hundreds of workshops across the USA. @ Dorothy Bramlage Public Library, 230 W. 7th Street, Junction City.
