A native of rural Morris County who is now living in Manhattan, Kansas author Jim Sharp documented his World War II experiences in a small diary that was given to him by the American Red Cross at Boston Harbor before he was shipped overseas. This diary became the impetus to write his book “Diary of a Combat Infantryman, From the Bulge to Bavaria,” the winner of the Kansas Council of Genealogical Societies Family History Award. Sharp will share his stories; sign copies of his books, and encourage others to share their experiences at this special Sunday afternoon event.
Presenter: Jim Sharp is a Bronze Star recipient who fought in the Battle of the Bulge and served as a guard at the Nuremberg war crime trials in 1945 and 1946. @ Dorothy Bramlage Public Library, 230 W. 7th Street, Junction City
