This program is directed toward psychiatrists, psychologists, Social Workers, P.T.s, O.Ts, CDC and CYS staff and UDS 475 School Staff. This Program Overview is designed to allow Professionals to experience Movement-Based Learning Techniques that will enhance their work with soldiers who have been mentally and physically injured by battle. For professionals who work with children it will give them tools that will improve the development of children with learning disabilities and developmental delays. Participants will experience Sensory Integration techniques, Brain Gym, Bal-A-Vis-X, and Rhythmic Movement Training. These methods are currently being used in Schools, Nursing Homes, TBI Clinics, Mental Health Clinics, and hospital settings. They will be presented by Pat Embers, OTR/L, Judy Metcalf, Licensed Brain Gym Instructor/Consultant, is a LSCSW social worker with the Family Advocacy Program.
This will be conducted at the ACS Annex, Building 1020 Huebner Rd, Ft. Riley.
