In accordance with AR 608-1, Soldiers and their Families preparing for their first PCS move will be provided relocation counseling and will receive an orientation to provide essential information and guidance on preparing for the move. The Relocation goal is to continue to assist meeting the needs of Soldiers and their Families to better prepare them for their first PCS CONUS move with the military. Relocation informs Soldiers during their LEVY briefings of this requirement and provides dates and times for Soldiers to attend the appropriate briefing. RELO stresses the importance that any Soldier PCSing for the first time attends one of the PCS briefings NLT 30 days from departing Fort Riley.
