Brooklyn Rundfunk Orkestrata is a rock band led by Peter Kiesewalter, the leader and musical mind behind Grammy-nominated opera revisionists East Village Opera Company. BRO’s live show is entitled “The Hills Are Alive,” a genre-bending adaptation of the songs from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s iconic musical “The Sound of Music.” With unprecedented artistic license granted by the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization, “The Hills Are Alive” features BRO’s smart and dynamic versions of 14 songs, blending rock, jazz, hip-hop, rhythm and blues, and country into a high octane musical mash-up that will thrill audiences.
