Journey back to Junction City's "Golden Era" - the years between 1890 and 1922 - when our town and the nation were leaving behind the old and embracing the new. And all of this was being photographed and recorded by our own renowned photographer, J.J. Pennell. Darren Gunderson will shed some light on J.J. Pennell's secrets in the museum auditorium, a new exhibit about amateur and professional photography in Junction City will fill the cases in the auditorium. Come see a "Swinger" and a "Brownie Bullet". Portable lunches and snacks will be available for a nominal fee between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. A Day in the Life of a Victorian Lady will show us just what Victorian ladies got up to. A horse-drawn trolley tour of our Historic District will allow you to enjoy a ramble among some of Junction City's jewels, in between the hoof beats you can find out what was where and what's there now. There will also be crafts, period music concerts, youth activities and much, much more! This event is Free and will be held at the Geary County Historical Museum, 530 N. Adams St., Junction City.
