1. Density: Like Indiana Jones, you’ll experiment with identically shaped blocks of steel, copper, zinc, aluminum, magnesium, plastic, wood, and foam to see if you can make them balance the ancient crown that you want to steal. Of course, if you fail, you’ll be crushed by a huge boulder!.
2. Fiber Optics: You’ll experiment with laser pens, colored flashlights, and clear plastic to see if you can make something like a light saber.
3. Cylinder and Sphere Race: You’ll be running races by rolling all kinds of stuff down ramps to see if there is any difference in speed for the different sizes and shapes. Bring your bowling ball if you have one!
4. Hot, Cold, and Fizzy: It stinks, it changes colors, it even explodes sometimes so it must be science!
5. Sieve Sorter: You’ll try to find ways to quickly separate marbles, fake gold coins (unless you bring some real ones!), rocks, and anything else that we find using only weird sieves.
6. Egg-in-a-Jar: The egg doesn’t want to go into the jar… it’s you job to force it to go in. And then it doesn’t want to come back out, so you’ll have to find a way to do that too.
7. Ice Cream: You’ll get to try ways to freeze the ingredients for ice cream, orange juice, soda, or some other stuff without using a freezer.
8. Tall Straw (Vacuum Pumps): Just how far do you think you can suck water up into a straw? After you give it a try with your mouth you’ll try it with different types of suction pumps.
9. Taste Buds and Pupils: You’ll get a chance to try and trick your taste buds with tasty treats such as alum or unsweetened chocolate… yummy. Then you’ll try to trick your eyes by making your pupils obey your commands.
10. Solar System: If you had an eight-pound cat, could you carry it around in your arms on Jupiter? We have a way for you to test your cat on every planet!!
