El Vado and Heron lake State parks are sponsoring a most Carp Caught contest on the annual free fishing day on June 3rd. Teams of 2 will compete for cash prizes of $150,$100, $75 for the total weight of carp caught will be awarded.
To take part in the contest you must register between 8-9am at the Ridge Rock parking lot adjacent to heron Lake Damn
$5 per person per entry
park day us or campuing fees still apply
Fishing may take place at either Heron or El Vado lake
Weigh in will be at the Ridge Rock parking lot lot between 2-3 pm
No weigh ins will be done after 3pm.
Carp may be taken by hook only. You most be present at the weigh in to win.
